launcht Delphi Automotive PLC is a vehicle component supplier for automotive and commercial vehicles. While Innoviz technologies, based out of Israel builds remote sensing solutions for automated vehicles. Both the companies have collaborated to ensure the safety of self-driving cars.
Innoviz has come up with LIDAR remote-sensing technology to sense potholes on roads, navigate on roads and point objects on roads. LIDAR is being considered as the most important sensor apart from RADAR and camera as it makes our vehicles travel at high speeds safely. Delphi made a little investment in Innoviz earlier and with this announcement, the shares have grown by 21.2%.
