Renault Flaunts Its All New Driverless Car With Obstacle Avoidance Systems

French car manufacturer Renault has advanced its technical systems with its all new Self Driving Car, that can avert any sort of obstacles during the case of an emergency. The car can shift at the same speed as that of a professional driver. In a test drive that can conducted, the car in its autonomous mode was able to avert obstructions and a specific cone at a speed of 27 mph; whereas in its manual mode with a driver- the car struck the cone at 23 mph.

The technology really is inspired by professional test drivers. Despite popular belief, our feeling is that humans are actually pretty amazing drivers. In most developed countries, they can do less than one fatality per 100 million miles. That’s really hard to beat. However, meeting and beating that benchmark is essential to ensure safety and realize the dreams of our autonomous cars.
