Waymo Preparing Cops To Handle Autonomous Car Crashes Efficiently

Introducing a new technology is always a big challenge that needs to assessed and monitored time and again to be deemed as successful. Likewise, there are many such hurdles that Autonomous Cars are facing currently. Chief among them is, training cops on how to react and handle a self-driving car error.
Waymo is currently engaging with local police forces and first respondents in Arizona, California, Texas and Washington to educate them on the same.
Furthermore, in the absence of a driver the car during a collision or any other system error’s, the car will find a safe place to stop on its own. A similar protocol is followed in case of the malfunctioning of sensors during a snow storm or other inclement weather. After an accident, the car will send a crash report back home for further analysis.
