Tesla Advances With New Self-Driving Tech for Semi-Trucks In Nevada

Geared with the latest technology and the confidence of delivering in the past, Tesla has taken upon itself to present a new self driving technology for semi – trucks. It plans to carry out its first test by September in Nevada which is the prime hub for trucks in the United States. Tesla wants to incorporate its self driving technology into the electric truck and move towards real-life tests very soon. With this Tesla, plans to take on a highly competitive area of commercial transport also being pursued by Uber Technologies Inc and Alphabet Inc’s Waymo.
“To insure we are on the same page, our primary goal is the ability to operate our prototype test trucks in a continuous manner across the state line and within the States of Nevada and California in a platooning and/or Autonomous mode without having a person in the vehicle,” Tesla regulatory official Nasser Zamani wrote to Nevada DMV official April Sanborn.
