That one piece of tech, is known as LiDAR. This technology uses lasers to sense distances to a target, and then turns it into a 3-D representation of the environment. It’s how a self-driving car sees the world around it. In what could be a $7 trillion Industry, LiDAR is paving its way to become a mandatory piece of technology in every autonomous car. Many state that, this tech- is way better and a lot cheaper than whats available on the road today.
