Intel announced on their website about the company’s involvement with Audi to bring about autonomous driving systems by 2018. The announcement was made after the Silicon Valley Business Journal published a report about Intel integrating its processors into the all new Audi A8.
Providing processors for Audi’s semi-autonomous vehicle – along with the recent buy-out of semi-autonomous car tech company Mobileye, is enough info that Intel is taking the driverless car market very seriously. This is good news for both the company and its investors, with the autonomous market poised to become a $77 billion market by 2035.
